ITC Hotels has signed a management agreement for Storii Havelock, a 22-key boutique retreat in Swaraj Dweep, popularly known as Havelock Island, marking the Storii by ITC Hotels brand’s entry into the Andaman & Nicobar Islands. The property is designed as an intimate leisure retreat that draws on the destination’s beaches, tropical landscape and marine biodiversity.

The signing forms part of ITC Hotels’ broader strategy to expand its leisure portfolio through the Storii brand. The brand focuses on boutique properties in distinctive destinations, with an emphasis on immersive experiences and a connection with the surrounding environment and local community.

Anil Chadha, Managing Director of ITC Hotels, says Swaraj Dweep has emerged as a sought-after leisure destination, attracting travellers with its natural beauty and range of experiences. He adds that the new signing reflects the company’s strategy of expanding into high-potential leisure markets through properties that are rooted in their surroundings.

The partnership also brings together ITC Hotels and Waterwoods Lodge and Resorts Private Limited, which is associated with the project. The company says the collaboration is expected to create a hospitality offering that reflects the character of the Andaman Islands while catering to travellers seeking nature, adventure and relaxation.

The launch is significant for the region’s hospitality sector as tourism infrastructure continues to evolve across the Andaman & Nicobar Islands. Swaraj Dweep already hosts several established resorts and hotels, while its beaches, marine biodiversity and adventure activities continue to support its appeal as a leisure destination.

The signing also underlines the growing interest of organised hotel operators in India's emerging leisure destinations.
