Abhishek Bachchan, Sri Lotus Launch Ultra-Luxury GIFT City Project

Sri Lotus Developers & Realty Limited, a Mumbai-based real estate developer, has announced the signing of a joint development agreement with Bollywood actor Abhishek Bachchan to develop an ultra-luxury mixed-use real estate project in GIFT City, Gandhinagar, Gujarat.

The announcement was made on January 7, marking Sri Lotus Developers’ first entry into the Gujarat real estate market.

According to the company, the upcoming GIFT City luxury development will span a built-up area exceeding one million square feet. The project will be executed through the developer’s subsidiary, Rise Root Projects Pvt. Ltd., which has entered into a development agreement with Abhishek Bachchan under a profit-sharing model.

The land parcel, held on a freehold basis, was acquired by Abhishek Bachchan nearly 15 years ago, according to sources. While the investment size for the project has not been disclosed, the company emphasized its asset-light development strategy.

The project will comprise premium and ultra-luxury residential and commercial spaces, catering to rising demand in GIFT City, which is fast emerging as a global financial and business hub. The development is expected to be completed within four years of launch, strengthening Sri Lotus Developers’ growth roadmap.

GIFT City (Gujarat International Finance Tec-City) is India’s first operational International Financial Services Centre (IFSC) and a fully integrated smart city. It hosts GIFT Nifty, which tracks the Nifty 50 index and is traded on the NSE International Exchange (NSE IFSC). The collaboration positions Sri Lotus Developers and Abhishek Bachchan to capitalize on GIFT City’s long-term real estate potential.
