Navi Mumbai has emerged as a preferred destination for data centre investments due to its strategic location, reliable power supply, robust connectivity infrastructure, and proximity to Mumbai’s financial and commercial ecosystem. The region has attracted substantial investments from domestic and international data centre operators seeking to establish large-scale facilities capable of supporting growing digital workloads.

STT Global Data Centres India is one of the leading operators in the country’s data centre industry and currently manages multiple facilities across major metropolitan markets. The company has been actively expanding its capacity to meet increasing demand from hyperscale cloud providers, enterprises, financial institutions, and government agencies. The latest acquisition is expected to support the development of additional high-capacity data centre infrastructure in the Mumbai metropolitan region.

Industry experts note that Mumbai and Navi Mumbai continue to account for a significant share of India’s operational data centre capacity. The region’s established telecommunications network, submarine cable connectivity, and strong business environment make it a preferred location for large-scale digital infrastructure projects. As demand for cloud services and AI-driven applications grows, operators are increasingly acquiring land parcels to secure future expansion opportunities.
