Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu requested the Singapore Housing Development Board (HDB) to collaborate in the Andra Pradesh future urban housing projects, including Amaravati. The request was made on the second day of his official tour of Singapore, during which he and his team toured the award-winning Bidadari Estate, a 250-acre public housing project designed based on the "City in a Garden" concept for more than 10,000 families.
Mr. Naidu lauded the sustainability, parks, and community-focused planning of the project. "The Bidadari project is an excellent model for combining green spaces with new housing. It shows that urban development need not be divisive and also need not consume a lot of land," he added.
