
The flexible workspace provider WeWork India has expanded its Pune operations by renting more than 200000 square feet of office space located in the Wakad area which demonstrates ongoing interest in managed office spaces and co-working environments.
The company has signed a long-term lease for space in Phoenix Millennium Tower-3 which serves as a major business development within the region to establish its presence in important metropolitan areas.
The leased office space extends across multiple building levels, covering the complete area from the 13th to the 17th floors. The contract includes multiple lease durations because it designates some floors for a 10-year period and other floors for a 5-year period which enables the company to implement both flexible and extended leasing options.

The building's total chargeable area measures about 2.04 lakh square feet and its carpet area covers approximately 1.43 lakh square feet.
The transaction requires a monthly payment which exceeds ₹1.45 crore and has rental costs estimated at ₹73 per square foot. The lease agreement contains escalation clauses which enable landlords to increase rental payments at scheduled times throughout the contract period.
WeWork India expands its business operations to important commercial centers because there is increasing need for flexible workspaces which startups and enterprises and global capability centers require. The IT ecosystem in Pune has developed through its growing infrastructure and improved connectivity which makes Wakad a crucial business location.
