Mahindra Group has created a new Holidays and Lifespaces sector, bringing its real estate and hospitality businesses under a unified strategic structure. The move is aimed at accelerating growth and creating operational synergies between the two businesses, which the group has identified as key growth opportunities.
Amit Kumar Sinha, currently Managing Director and CEO of Mahindra Lifespace Developers Ltd, has been appointed CEO of the newly formed sector. He will take up the role after a successor is appointed to lead Mahindra Lifespaces. The group has not yet announced the effective date of his new appointment.
The restructuring brings Mahindra Lifespaces and Mahindra Holidays & Resorts India under a common sector-level framework. The group said the new structure is intended to support stronger coordination between the businesses and help accelerate their expansion.

Mahindra Lifespaces has recorded significant growth in recent years, particularly in its residential development business. The company has expanded its presence across major Indian cities while also developing integrated business and industrial clusters. Its pre-sales have grown substantially since FY20, and the business reported a profit of around ₹300 crore last year, according to reports.
The hospitality business, operated through Mahindra Holidays & Resorts India and its Club Mahindra brand, is another important part of the group's consumer-facing portfolio. The business operates a network of holiday resorts and has been expanding its presence in India's leisure and travel market.
The new sector structure is expected to provide greater strategic focus to both businesses while allowing Mahindra Group to evaluate opportunities across real estate, leisure, hospitality and related consumer segments. The leadership and reporting arrangements for the businesses will be aligned as the new structure is implemented.
The restructuring comes as Mahindra Group continues to focus on businesses with potential for long-term growth. By placing its holidays and real estate operations within a single sector, the group aims to improve coordination, identify common opportunities and support expansion across both segments.

Sinha's appointment also marks a leadership transition for Mahindra Lifespaces. A new CEO will be appointed to oversee the real estate business once Sinha moves to his broader sector-level role.
The creation of the Holidays and Lifespaces sector represents a strategic effort by Mahindra Group to consolidate two growing businesses under unified leadership and build a stronger platform for their future expansion.
