Unified RERA Portal to Redefine Home Buying in Gurugram

The launch of India’s unified Real Estate Regulatory Authority (RERA) portal is expected to significantly reshape the homebuying experience in Gurugram by ensuring greater transparency, accessibility, and accountability in the city’s fast-growing real estate sector.

Available at rera.mohua.gov.in, the integrated platform provides a single-window access to information on registered real estate projects and agents across the country. Union Housing Minister Manohar Lal Khattar highlighted that this initiative marks “a crucial move towards building trust and transparency in the real estate ecosystem.”

For Gurugram, often referred to as the Millennium City, the unified portal is set to be a turning point. Previously, buyers had to navigate different RERA websites run by individual states and union territories, often leading to confusion and lack of clarity. By consolidating this information nationwide, the new system will simplify decision-making for homebuyers while also strengthening confidence in the regulatory process.

Harinder Singh Hora, Founder Chairman, Reach Group, says, "The unified RERA portal is a landmark development that the real estate industry truly needed. It fundamentally addresses the issue of fragmented information by providing a single, centralized platform for all stakeholders. This move is a game-changer, as it helps to streamline the entire compliance process for developers and offers homebuyers a new level of confidence by providing easy access to verified project details. Ultimately, this portal will strengthen trust, reduce disputes, and empower every individual to make well-informed purchasing decisions, making the entire real estate process more efficient and accountable for all."

Rajjath Goel, MD, MRG Group said, “The rollout of the Unified RERA Portal is a pivotal moment for India’s real estate sector. It establishes a single-source digital ecosystem where homebuyers can access project approvals, builder track records, progress updates, and grievance status—instilling much-needed confidence in the industry. For developers, this platform encourages discipline and transparency, turning transparency from a compliance requirement into a competitive advantage.

“On a broader scale, the nationwide database backed by AI-driven monitoring empowers regulators to identify delays and stalled projects early, ensuring effective interventions. This unified approach doesn’t just protect homebuyers—it lays the foundation for a more accountable, efficient, and investor-friendly real estate ecosystem.”

Salil Kumar, Director- Marketing & Business Management, CRC Group, said “The unified RERA portal was a much-needed step for the real estate sector. It will lessen the burden for both buyers and developers by bringing everything onto one platform. While buyers can now check project details without running around, developers get a simpler way to share updates and comply with rules. Over time, this will help build trust, encourage smoother transactions, and create a healthier environment for everyone involved.”

Yash Miglani, MD of Migsun Group, said, “It’s great to see the unified RERA portal go live. Buyers can easily confirm project details without endless follow-ups, and developers can meet compliance requirements without extra hassle. This platform not only adds convenience but also brings in much-needed clarity and trust. Over time, it’ll help reduce complaints and create better communication between all stakeholders, making the sector more transparent and dependable.”

Vikas Dua, Founder & Director, Chintamanis said, “The launch of the unified RERA portal marks a transformative step for Gurugram’s real estate ecosystem. By consolidating project information, approvals, and compliance records on a single platform, it empowers homebuyers with transparent, reliable, and real-time data. This not only enhances buyer confidence but also ensures that investment decisions are made with greater clarity. For developers, the portal streamlines compliance and reporting processes, fostering a more accountable and equitable marketplace. Ultimately, this initiative is poised to redefine home buying in Gurugram by making the entire journey—from exploration to investment—more transparent, efficient, and trustworthy.”

Saurabh Saharan, Group Managing Director, HCBS Developments, said “The unified RERA portal is a forward-looking step that empowers buyers and simplifies compliance for developers. By consolidating information under one roof, it creates unmatched transparency in Gurugram’s real estate market. This initiative will strengthen trust, reduce confusion, and help both investors and homebuyers make informed decisions.”

Kushagra Ansal of Ansal Housing believes the initiative will restore buyer confidence: “The unified platform creates a level playing field where genuine developers can showcase their track record transparently. For Gurugram, where numerous residential and commercial projects are underway, this means buyers can make informed decisions based on verified data rather than marketing promises.”

As per Ankit Kansal, Managing Director 360 Realtors, “In the past 8 years, RERA has emerged as a transformative force to bring in transparency and structure in Indian real estate industry. It has helped in addressing concerns of the homebuyers in an amicable way and commence work on myriad stalled projects, thereby rendering great relief. In this regard, the recent decision to introduce a unified portal for RERA will further take this to the next level by reinforcing the role of RERA as a force multiplier in the growing Indian real estate. It will facilitate sharing of best industry practices across all the states and union territories. Similarly, it will make sure that homes buyers and developers can access the detail status of any project across India with the help of one single window. This indeed is a commendable step in the right direction.”

In the meantime, it is also important for the governing agencies to contemplate implementing other key features and improvements such as single window for clearance. A single window for clearance can be instrumental in helping the developer fraternity secure all the required licenses and documents in a seamless and hassle-free manner. This will not just reduce cost but also optimize operations and spur the construction cycle. Similarly, regulatory bodies, development agencies and governing machineries should work towards unlocking new avenues for project finance. Constant supply of affordable capital is pivotal for the real estate market to thrive in India.

As per Ajay Tyagi, CSO, Betterchoice Realtors Pvt Ltd, “The launch of the unified RERA portal will transform how homebuyers engage with projects in Gurugram. Verified information on a single platform ensures transparency and accountability, while also easing compliance for developers. It’s a win-win for the sector, enhancing confidence, streamlining processes, and shaping a more reliable marketplace.”
