Royal Orchid Partners with Paisa4Plates to Fight Hunger

Royal Orchid Hotels has launched an association with Paisa4Plates, a charity movement instituted by Aryaveer Baljee, Hampshire's Youth MP, to enable guests to contribute towards serving the homeless and children in mid-day meals.

The initiative will be launched at ICONIQA Mumbai and later be rolled out across Royal Orchid's chain of over 120 hotels in India, such as Regenta, Regenta Place, Royal Orchid, and ICONIQA.

Modelled on the UK's hugely popular Pounds4Plates initiative, Paisa4Plates enables guests to freely give 0.5 percent of their bill towards helping local charities fighting hunger. Participating hotels will offer transparency and choice via table tents and other communications.

Key highlights:

  • Royal Orchid Hotels partners with Paisa4Plates to enable guest donations for feeding the homeless and children
  • The initiative will launch at ICONIQA Mumbai and later expand across 120+ Royal Orchid properties in India
  • Guests can voluntarily contribute 0.5 percent of their bill, with funds directed to local NGOs and food banks

"We are excited to join hands with Paisa4Plates to introduce this noble initiative to our guests in India. By providing our guests with the chance to donate to such a noble cause, we aim to achieve a ripple effect of good in communities all over India." said Shibani Malhotra, General Manager, ICONIQA Mumbai.

Aryaveer Baljee continued, "Hospitality is not just about service—it's about bridges and elevating communities. Collaboration with ICONIQA and Royal Orchid Hotels enables us to amplify this initiative and make a real impact in the lives of the homeless and hungry."

The program is designed as sustainable and low-barrier, thereby enabling hotels to function as facilitators while fostering goodwill and engagement from the guests.

Royal Orchid Hotels will roll out Paisa4Plates across its Indian properties in late 2025 along with local NGOs and food banks to ensure strengthening of community support and addressing the critical issue of hunger across the country.
