Moustache Hotels Expands with New Select Property in Manali

Moustache Group of Hotels has launched its newest property under the Moustache Select brand in Manali, marking a major expansion milestone for the hospitality company.

Located in one of Himachal Pradesh’s most popular travel corridors, the new Select Manali property will feature 49 keys and is positioned to cater to mid-budget travellers, including families and business guests.  The launch also marks the beginning of the brand’s expansion strategy across North India, with plans to open 50 new properties by 2028 across destinations such as Kasol, Shimla, Nainital, and McLeodganj.

Initially recognized for its backpacker hostels, Moustache Group of Hotels has diversified its portfolio in recent years to serve a wider traveller demographic. Its expanded brand architecture includes Moustache Luxuria, which focuses on premium experiential stays, and Moustache Select, designed for comfort-driven yet affordable travel segments.

This diversification aligns with rising demand for differentiated travel experiences in India’s tourism market, particularly in leisure and work-friendly hill destinations.

Speaking on the decision to open the newest Select property in Manali, Abhishek Khandelwal, Founder and Director, Moustache Group of Hotels, said, “We chose Manali because it’s one of India’s strongest mid-range hotel markets with consistent demand and diverse travellers seeking quality stays at the right price. Manali is currently experiencing a surge in footfall, with recent figures indicating over 15,000 tourists per day, driven by improved weather, post-Diwali travel, and the anticipation of more snowfall. Its accessibility and year-round inflow made it the ideal destination to introduce a Select property.”

Commenting on the potential of the Select segment, Deepak Agarwal, Founder and Director, Moustache Group of Hotels, said, “Select segment is expected to contribute 40 to 50 percent of the company’s projected 100 crore revenue by 2026. In the upcoming season alone, we anticipate a 10 percent uptick in business within this vertical. We will be focusing heavily on Select properties in the coming years, especially those that show strong long-term potential and align closely with our ethos. Narrowing our focus will help us deepen expertise, strengthen loyalty and offer sharply curated, high-value experiences.”
