L&T Realty Acquires 20 Acres Land in Gurugram Deal

L&T Realty, the real estate arm of Larsen & Toubro, has strengthened its expansion strategy by acquiring a 20-acre land parcel in Gurugram which marks the beginning of its National Capital Region (NCR) real estate operations.

The acquisition was completed through the purchase of a 100 percent stake in International Green Scapes Ltd, a Delhi-based entity that owns the land. The transaction gives L&T Realty control over a valuable development site located in one of India's top developing real estate markets.

The company has acquired a land parcel which contains development potential that exceeds 3.6 million square feet thereby increasing its project capacity. The company uses this strategy to expand its operations in major cities while taking advantage of growing demand for high-end residential and commercial properties in developing areas like Gurugram.

This marks L&T Realty's initial acquisition of land in the NCR micro-market which demonstrates their strategy to expand into new geographical areas beyond their current operations in Mumbai and Bengaluru and Delhi. The company had earlier completed multiple land deals across these cities during FY26, collectively adding around 3 million square feet of development potential to its portfolio.

L&T wants to unify its real estate operations through the acquisition because it will create better operational efficiency and support long-term business expansion. The strategic land investments will develop a strong future project pipeline because India's urbanization rate increases and demand for high-quality real estate developments continues to grow.
