
IHG Hotels & Resorts has set an ambitious growth target to cross 400 open and in-development hotels in India within the next five years, underscoring the country’s strategic importance to the global hospitality major.
Currently, IHG operates or has signed hotels across eight brands in India, spanning luxury, premium, and mainstream segments.
Its existing portfolio includes globally recognized names such as Six Senses, InterContinental, Crowne Plaza, and Holiday Inn, giving the group a strong footprint across key business and leisure destinations.

India continues to be one of IHG’s fastest-growing markets, with the company recording its third consecutive year of record hotel signings in 2025, reflecting robust demand and owner confidence.
As part of its next phase of expansion, IHG plans to introduce its Vignette Collection brand in India in early 2026. Positioned in the luxury and lifestyle space, Vignette Collection is designed to appeal to travelers seeking distinctive, experience-led stays, further strengthening IHG’s presence at the upper end of the market.
The company is also accelerating the rollout of newer brands such as Garner, while the InterContinental brand continues to expand rapidly across major Indian cities. This multi-brand strategy allows IHG to address diverse traveler needs, from high-end luxury and lifestyle hotels to business and midscale offerings.
