
Indian Hotels Company Limited (IHCL), India's largest hospitality company, has made significant strides in its expansion, reaching a total of 615 hotels, including 360 operational properties and a strong pipeline of 255 hotels.
The company has been building its brand presence across key markets during the third quarter, with notable growth in both domestic and international destinations.
The Taj brand expanded further in Bengaluru and the National Capital Region (NCR), while also extending its reach into Sri Lanka and making its debut in Egypt.
Key Highlights
Other IHCL brands, such as Gateway, Tree of Life, and Ginger, also achieved steady signings across cities like Bengaluru, Panheli, Nashik, Gurugram, and Ahmedabad.
With the addition of these properties, IHCL now has a portfolio exceeding 32,000 rooms across 360 hotels. The company remains on track to meet its target of 700 hotels by 2030 under its Accelerate 2030 roadmap, positioning itself for further growth in both domestic and international markets.
Commenting on the expansion, Suma Venkatesh, Executive Vice President – Real Estate and Development, said, "The growth aligns with IHCL’s Accelerate two thousand thirty strategy." She highlighted the company’s entry into the integrated wellness segment through the acquisition of a controlling stake in Atmantan, along with a definitive agreement to acquire a majority stake in boutique experiential brand Brij.
Deepika Rao, Executive Vice President – Hotel Openings and New Businesses, said, "Recent openings reflected the diversity of IHCL’s brand portfolio. Taj entered Bhutan with properties in Paro and Phobjika, while SeleQtions expanded into Mandawa, Nadiad and Varanasi. New openings also included Brij in Bandhavgarh, Tree of Life in Sariska, Vivanta in Aluva, Cochin, and properties under Vivanta and Ginger in Ekta Nagar, Ahmedabad and Gurugram."
