Godrej Industries Signs 20,000 Crore Investment Pact in Haryana

Godrej Industries Group signs an MoU with Haryana to invest ₹20,000 crore, with the plan expected to create around 40,000 jobs. Godrej Properties and Godrej Ventures will drive major investments in real estate and office infrastructure across the state.

Godrej Industries Group has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Haryana government to invest around ₹20,000 crore in the state, expanding its presence across real estate, office infrastructure and other business segments. The proposed investment is expected to generate around 40,000 jobs, strengthening Haryana’s position as a key growth market for the group.

The investment agreement marks a significant expansion of the group’s existing footprint in Haryana. Godrej Industries Group has already invested about ₹12,000 crore in the state and employs approximately 9,000 people. The group recorded revenue of around $7.2 billion in fiscal 2026.

Godrej Properties, the group’s real estate arm, will be a major contributor to the new investment plan. The company intends to deploy an additional ₹16,000 crore in Haryana by FY28, taking its cumulative investment in the state to approximately ₹27,000 crore. The expansion is expected to support the development of residential and other real estate projects as demand for organised urban infrastructure continues to grow.

Meanwhile, Godrej Ventures, the group’s real estate private equity platform, plans to invest around ₹3,500 crore in office infrastructure in Gurugram. The proposed development is expected to create more than 30,000 direct and indirect employment opportunities, further strengthening the city’s commercial real estate ecosystem.

The investment comes as Haryana, particularly the Gurugram region, continues to attract major corporate and real estate investments due to its connectivity, expanding commercial infrastructure and proximity to the National Capital Region. The state’s growing office and residential markets are creating opportunities for large developers and institutional investors.

Pirojsha Godrej, Chairperson of Godrej Industries Group, says Haryana has emerged as an important growth driver for the group. He adds that the company views the state as a long-term market and intends to continue investing in the region.

The proposed investment is expected to have a wider economic impact by supporting construction activity, infrastructure development, employment generation and related services. It also reinforces the group’s long-term strategy of expanding its presence in high-growth markets.

With the ₹20,000-crore investment commitment, Godrej Industries Group is set to deepen its footprint in Haryana while contributing to the state’s industrial and urban development. The agreement also highlights the continued importance of Gurugram and the wider NCR region as destinations for large-scale real estate and business investments.
