The Delhi government plans to launch a complete online property registration system which requires no physical documents and no in-person identity verification within the next five to six months to create a modernized process.
The National Generic Document Registration System (NGDRS) project will enable citizens to complete most application processes through online services which include document submission and verification.
The proposed system will eliminate the need for physical paperwork and multiple visits to sub-registrar offices. The system enables buyers and sellers to register sale deeds and property documents through digital means which require minimal human involvement.

The authorities intend to develop a better property registration system through their project which will digitize documents and store information in secure online databases. The system will use real-time verification together with digital record storage to confirm user identities and protect against fraudulent activities.
The government must change property registration regulations and seek approval from both cabinet members and legislative assembly members to implement the system. The platform will create an easier registration process because it will handle ownership verification through to final approval.
