The hotel itself will be developed at an estimated cost of ₹200 crore, with Minor Hotels operating the asset under a management contract without equity participation, reflecting an asset-light expansion strategy.

The proposed Anantara Kolkata Hotel will feature approximately 170 rooms and suites, along with a range of premium amenities. These include multiple dining options such as a rooftop speciality restaurant, as well as a ballroom, spa, gym, and swimming pool. The property is positioned to cater to both business and leisure travellers within Salt Lake’s Sector V, a prominent business hub.

The larger WTC project, spread across 11 acres, is set to become Eastern India’s first World Trade Centre, significantly enhancing Kolkata’s position as a commercial and cultural hub. Industry leaders believe that integrating luxury hospitality into the development will redefine the intersection of business infrastructure and lifestyle offerings in the region.

William Heinecke, Founder and Chairman of Minor International, highlighted the signing as a strategic milestone, noting that it reflects the brand’s expansion across both resort and urban destinations in India.
