The luxurious residence of Azhar Iqubal entrepreneur, co-founder of Inshorts and judge on Shark Tank India Season 3 has captured attention after interior details of his expansive home. Located in the upscale Paras Quartier, Gurugram, the apartment spans approximately 6,500 square feet and reflects a blend of classic Victorian aesthetics and contemporary luxury design.
The residence was conceptualized by interior designer Aashi Gupta of Aashi Gupta Designs. The design philosophy centers on “quiet drama,” combining heritage-inspired architectural elements with modern open-plan spaces that prioritize natural light, texture, and refined detailing.
The apartment opens from a private lift lobby into a carefully curated transition corridor. The hallway features herringbone-patterned light oak flooring complemented by white marble wainscoting with pronounced veining. Victorian-style mouldings add a classical touch, establishing the residence’s signature “high–low” design approach that balances grandeur with warmth.
High ceilings enhanced with Victorian cornices and mirrored panels amplify the sense of space and light. Hand-knotted Persian rugs sourced from Jaipur complement the oak flooring, reinforcing the blend of heritage craftsmanship and modern architecture. The dining area features a large teak table surrounded by striped upholstered chairs under a mirrored recessed ceiling that reflects the dining arrangement below.
One of the apartment’s standout features is its checkerboard balcony, designed with bold black-and-white tiles. Furnished with outdoor seating and equipped with a telescope, the balcony provides panoramic views of the Gurugram skyline through floor-to-ceiling glass doors, seamlessly connecting indoor and outdoor living spaces.

The master suite continues the theme of refined elegance with a tufted headboard, built-in arched shelving displaying curated books and artifacts, and a private lounge corner. Architectural features such as fluted columns and soft drapery enhance privacy while maintaining the overall openness of the residence.
The home reflects a broader trend among India’s new-generation entrepreneurs who are investing in highly personalized luxury residences that combine global design influences with Indian craftsmanship.
