In a big relief for the federal government employees, 80 allottees of the Sky Garden Project have finally been handed over possession letters for their plots after waiting for years. Mian Riaz Hussain Pirzada, Federal Minister for Housing and Works, handed over the letters during a ceremony on Thursday at the project site. “It is a big source of satisfaction for me to witness an age-old commitment fulfilled," the minister said, adding, "This is the first raindrop, and I am sure other halted schemes will pick speed too.”

Development had come to a standstill for two years because of NAB investigations and scrutiny by the Supreme Court but has gained momentum after clearance, the Housing Ministry said. The first 80 allottees have plots of 250 kanals each in Block A, which is completely developed with basic amenities.
Minister Pirzada was keen to stress his determination to get projects completed within time and eliminating corruption: "I feel for those who had made the hard-earned cash investment and waited for years, they are now seeing their dream materialize."
The minister also made assurances of plots being reserved for police and intelligence martyrs' families. DG FGEHA informed that three additional blocks were to be completed by December 2025.
