8fold by LaRiSa launches its first Punjab property in Amritsar’s Heritage Walk precinct, offering convenient access to the Golden Temple, Jallianwala Bagh and Partition Museum while strengthening the brand’s North India presence.
The hospitality chain of LaRiSa Hotels & Resorts has added to its list of properties by introducing its latest offering 8fold by LaRiSa, Amritsar Heritage Walk which is the first of the chain to be introduced in Punjab. The property is situated inside the Amritsar Heritage Walk complex and aims to cater to pilgrims, tourists, and families.
This hotel is based on the existing presence of the 8fold brand in the North of India. While the hotel in Shimla has been hosting visitors for nine years, the brand has expanded to offer hospitality in places such as Shimla, Jibhi, Bhimtal, Siolim, Basti, and Amritsar.

The property at Amritsar is strategically located in the Heritage Walk zone. This means that the guests of the hotel will be near the most visited historical monuments. The Golden Temple, the Jallianwala Bagh and the Partition Museum are only a stone’s throw away and there will not be a need to rely heavily on transport.
Location plays an important role in the positioning of the hotel because Amritsar draws millions of tourists and pilgrims each year. The location has been chosen keeping in mind the interest of the hotel guests who like to explore the region around the Golden Temple on foot.
Hotel 8fold created by LaRiSa adheres to the principle of the brand’s concept of conscious and simple hospitality. The hotel provides rooms that are intended for accommodating families and groups of travelers. The hotel’s main idea is to provide comfortable accommodation to people spending most of their time in the city.
Dining can be seen as yet another element of the hotel’s local positioning strategy. The establishment has an in-house restaurant which is based on the local culinary traditions of Amritsar and includes such specialties as kulcha in the menu. This type of local cuisine presentation is aimed at enhancing the guest experience in the city.

As Priya Thakur, the Founder and Director of LaRiSa Hotels and Resorts puts it, the hotel was built to follow the age-old pattern of people who come to the Golden Temple from Amritsar’s ancient streets. The idea revolves around making available an easy-to-access space for travellers after a day of wandering around the city.
With this launch, LaRiSa will increase its presence in North India as well as add another destination experience hotel in its expanding portfolio of hotels. In terms of location, cuisine, and facilities, the new hotel will be geared towards meeting the pilgrimage and leisure travel needs of Amritsar.
