The second project, Avani Koh Phangan, is situated on Thong Nai Pan Noi Beach and presently operates as Buri Rasa Village Phangan. The 63-key beachfront resort will also move under Minor Hotels' management beginning May 2026 which will then lead to its complete rebranding as an Avani hotel and subsequent renovations that will take place in multiple stages until early 2027. The upgraded property will feature oceanfront rooms and pool-access accommodations and family-friendly facilities and fitness amenities and beachside dining experiences.

Minor Hotels announced that its partnership with the other company serves as a demonstration of its plan to expand its operations in popular tourist destinations throughout Asia-Pacific regions. The company currently operates more than 640 properties across 63 countries and has been actively growing its footprint in Thailand through brands including Anantara, Avani, NH Collection, and Tivoli.

Industry experts believe Thailand maintains its ability to attract substantial hospitality investments because international tourism and luxury travel demand and infrastructure improvements at resort destinations continue to grow. Global travellers select Koh Samui and Koh Phangan because the islands offer premium beach experiences and wellness tourism options.
