IHG Signs Holiday Inn Mandi in Himachal Pradesh

Synopsis:  IHG Hotels & Resorts signs Holiday Inn Mandi in Himachal Pradesh, expanding its regional presence with a 100-room property on the Chandigarh–Manali corridor to serve growing business, leisure and transit travel demand.

IHG Hotels & Resorts has signed a management agreement with Mac View Infrabiz Private Limited to develop Holiday Inn Mandi in Himachal Pradesh. The upcoming hotel strengthens IHG’s presence in the state and supports the company’s expansion strategy across emerging commercial and leisure destinations in North India.

Located in Mandi along the Chandigarh–Manali corridor, Holiday Inn Mandi is strategically positioned to cater to business travellers, leisure tourists and transit guests. The city serves as an important administrative and commercial hub while also acting as a gateway to several popular destinations in Himachal Pradesh. The new property is planned as a 100-key hotel featuring well-designed rooms and suites along with multiple guest facilities. The hotel will include three food and beverage outlets, offering diverse dining experiences, along with event and meeting spaces, including a ballroom, to serve corporate gatherings, social functions and business requirements.

The signing marks another step in IHG’s strategy of expanding its footprint beyond major metropolitan cities and entering high-growth secondary markets. The company continues to focus on destinations supported by infrastructure improvements, increasing travel demand and evolving customer preferences.

Holiday Inn Hotels & Resorts, one of IHG’s globally recognised brands, continues to attract travellers with its focus on comfortable stays, reliable services and family-friendly experiences. In India, the brand is witnessing strong growth, supported by a growing portfolio and a pipeline of upcoming properties across business, leisure and emerging markets.

The development of Holiday Inn Mandi also reflects the rising importance of Himachal Pradesh as a hospitality investment destination. The state’s tourism appeal, driven by scenic landscapes, adventure activities and cultural attractions, continues to create opportunities for branded hotel operators to expand their presence.

IHG currently operates multiple hotel brands across India and has a strong pipeline of properties planned over the coming years. The company’s continued expansion highlights its confidence in the long-term growth potential of India’s travel and hospitality sector.
