
Indian Hotels Company (IHCL), India’s largest hospitality group, has announced the signing of a new Ginger hotel in Dimapur, Nagaland, marking its strategic entry into the state and expanding its footprint across Northeast India.
This greenfield project, located near Dimapur Airport, will introduce Ginger’s signature lean luxe experience to Nagaland with a 90-key hotel designed to balance affordability, comfort, and contemporary aesthetics.
The upcoming Ginger Dimapur will feature thoughtfully planned rooms offering panoramic city views, alongside modern spaces suited for business and leisure travellers.
Key Highlights
Core brand elements include Qmin, Ginger’s popular all-day diner serving global and local cuisine, a stylish bar, a fully equipped fitness centre, and flexible meeting and event spaces tailored for corporate gatherings, social functions, and transit travellers.
Dimapur, Nagaland’s largest commercial centre, is a fast-growing hub with economic activity spanning trade, transport, manufacturing, and services, making it a strong location for IHCL’s expansion. With the addition of this hotel, IHCL’s Northeast India portfolio will grow to 19 hotels, including 10 currently under development, further strengthening the company’s leadership in the region’s hospitality landscape.
