How is Locks & Architectural Solutions (LAS) leveraging e-commerce and quick-commerce channels to reach today’s digital-first buyers?
E-commerce has become a critical growth engine for us because today’s consumers don’t just want products; they want convenience, information, and service at their fingertips. We’ve doubled our online sales in the last year, and through marketplaces like Amazon and Flipkart, our reach now extends to over 13,000 pin codes across India. Quick-commerce is also emerging strongly, where consumers want even essentials like locks and hardware delivered the same day, especially in metros. Currently, online channels contribute about 4 percent of our revenue, and we expect this to rise to 11–12 percent by FY28.
What differentiates us is that we don’t stop at selling online; we ensure a complete journey by offering virtual consultations, guided product demos, and installation support through our partner ecosystem. This way, digital-first buyers, whether in metros or smaller towns, get the same trusted Godrej experience, seamlessly blending online convenience with offline service assurance.

New-age smart lock innovations (IoT, NFC, biometric) are design-forward. How do they align with evolving home design and real estate trends?
Homeowners today want products that complement the look of their homes while providing cutting-edge convenience. Take our Advantis IoT9, which marries sleek aesthetics with multifaceted access: it offers nine ways to enter from biometrics and NFC to Bluetooth wearables and Wi-Fi alongside voice assistance in Indian languages, tamper alerts, audit trails, and smart-home compatibility. This sophisticated functionality, wrapped in finishes like matte black and rose-gold, ensures the lock complements modern interiors rather than clashing with them.
We’ve also introduced the Advantis GSL D1, which showcases how accessible smart safety can be elevated design-wise. It delivers an impressive seven access modes: mobile NFC, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi remote control, fingerprint, PIN with scrambled codes, RFID card, plus mechanical key override with EXS technology. Not to mention, it has features like VDP (video door phone) integration, emergency Type-C USB charging, and a reassuring 3-year warranty.
Together, these products reflect how today’s urban homeowners and developers are looking for safety solutions that are intuitive, technologically rich, and visually harmonious. Smart locks are no longer standalone safety devices; they’re design accents that elevate both aesthetics and experience.
Buyers in the premium and upper-mid segments expect features such as biometric access, NFC, mobile-app control, and IoT integration as standard, not optional add-ons.
The Architectural Solutions business is growing fast. What demand do you see from developers and interior designers, especially in premium housing projects?
The Architectural Solutions vertical is witnessing robust expansion, driven by a sharp uptick in demand from developers and design professionals who are now treating hardware as a meaningful element in the aesthetic expression of spaces. Our strategy is delivering strong results. Locks & Architectural Solutions (LAS) is currently growing at 12–14 percent year-on-year, with over 60 percent of revenue now originating from Tier 2 and Tier 3 markets as well as premium urban segments.
We have responded proactively by deepening engagement with the architecture and design community. Our flagship initiative, the Godrej Value Co-Creators Club (GVCC), enables designers to co-create solutions with us. Since its launch, GVCC has onboarded over 2,100 architects, and our annual GeeVees Awards 2025 attracted more than 4,000 submissions across residential, institutional, hospitality, and commercial categories. Architectural fittings now account for more than 45 percent of our turnover, reflecting the growing recognition of their value in contemporary design.
In essence, our growth in Architectural Solutions is powered by close collaboration with the design ecosystem, bringing together design intelligence, innovation, and aesthetic refinement that speaks directly to premium developers and discerning homeowners.
With strong momentum in India’s housing market, how are real estate launches influencing demand for locks and safety solutions?
Smart locks have become a differentiator in how homes are marketed and sold. Buyers in the premium and upper-mid segments expect features such as biometric access, NFC, mobile-app control, and IoT integration as standard, not optional add-ons. For developers, equipping projects with such solutions adds both tangible and perceived value; it signals modernity, safety, and alignment with global living standards.
At LAS, we are working with developers to integrate these solutions right from the planning stage, ensuring that locks are not just safety devices but part of the lifestyle offering. This shift is clear, as homes priced Rs. 1 crore and above now contribute nearly half of India’s residential sales, the demand for smart, design-forward safety is growing proportionately. In effect, smart locks are no longer just about protecting homes; they’ve become an integral part of the value proposition of real estate, influencing both buyer decisions and project positioning.
How do you partner with developers to integrate smart safety into upcoming residential projects?
Our engagement with developers starts right from the design stage, where we integrate safety solutions into project plans rather than treating them as an afterthought. This includes offering customized finishes, integration with building automation systems, and tailored solutions that align with the overall aesthetic of the property. Through initiatives like GeeVees, we also engage directly with architects and designers, ensuring that our products meet both technical and lifestyle expectations. This collaborative approach ensures smart safety is seamlessly embedded into the DNA of modern housing projects.

Plotted developments and villas are rising in demand. Are you introducing specialized products for these segments and NRI buyers?
We see plotted developments and villas as a distinct growth opportunity. For this segment, and particularly for NRI buyers, convenience and control are critical. Our solutions now offer features such as remote access through mobile apps, OTP-based guest entry, audit trails, and encrypted data storage, allowing owners to manage access even while abroad.
At the same time, we are introducing premium finishes tailored to villa aesthetics. This way, our products provide not only high functionality but also complement the design sensibilities of standalone premium homes.
