Tonino Lamborghini Enters Chennai Luxury Housing Market

Tonino Lamborghini partners with GTB Developers to enter Chennai’s luxury housing market with premium residences on ECR, featuring spacious apartments, villas, a private beach-style zone and a large lagoon.

Italian luxury lifestyle brand Tonino Lamborghini is entering Chennai’s premium residential real estate market through a partnership with GTB Developers. The collaboration focuses on a high-end residential development on the city’s East Coast Road (ECR), targeting demand for luxury homes among high-net-worth individuals, business leaders and non-resident Indians.

The project, named Republic of Nature, is planned across an 11.5-acre site and is set to comprise 106 apartments and 23 villas. The apartments range from approximately 3,750 sq ft to 7,000 sq ft, while the villas span between 9,750 sq ft and 13,500 sq ft. Prices for the apartments are expected to start at around ₹6 crore and extend to ₹11 crore, while villas are priced in the ₹18 crore to ₹28 crore range.

The development is designed to combine luxury residences with resort-style amenities and landscaped open spaces. A key feature is a proposed 3.5-acre man-made lagoon, which is being developed with the involvement of a Dubai-based specialist. The project also includes a 20,000 sq ft recreational area designed around a private beach concept, adding to its leisure-oriented positioning.

Republic of Nature is planned near the coastal attractions of ECR and in the vicinity of the Sheraton Grand Resort. The development also incorporates a SeleQtions-branded hotel from Indian Hotels Company Limited (IHCL), creating a broader hospitality and residential ecosystem within the project.

The partnership brings Tonino Lamborghini’s Italian design identity into Chennai’s residential sector. The brand, which is founded by Tonino Lamborghini, operates independently from the automobile company associated with his father, Ferruccio Lamborghini. Its lifestyle portfolio spans luxury products, hospitality and branded real estate.

The Chennai project follows Tonino Lamborghini’s broader expansion into India’s branded residences segment. In April 2026, the brand announces a partnership with Signature Global for a premium residential development in Sector 71, Gurugram, comprising 812 residences across approximately 12.4 acres.

The planned Chennai development reflects the growing presence of branded residences in India’s luxury housing market. ECR, in particular, continues to attract premium residential projects because of its coastal setting and established luxury housing ecosystem.

Republic of Nature is planned for a November 2026 launch, subject to the required approvals. With its large-format residences, luxury amenities, hospitality component and Italian design association, the project aims to establish a distinctive presence in Chennai’s expanding ultra-luxury residential segment.
