The 18th-century Haveli Padmaa, converted into a luxury Bishop hotel, is located right in the heart of Jaipur. Padmaa can be found on Chaura Rasta which is acknowledged as one of Rajkot’s most popular and historical markets.
The Street was originally built for processions and marches by elephants and kings, but these days it is full of tradition, art and the usual sounds of life. Visitors to Padmaa can relax and enjoy a glimpse of the ancient gem that this fort used to be.
During seven generations, the Shah family went from living in a simple, four-room house to having a haveli with many courtyards, chandnis and memories all around them. The name Padmaa honors the beloved grandmother, Padmaa Devi Shah and her character, spirit and bravery continue to influence and guide the company.
The guardians of Umrao Jewels, Jaipur’s popular jewelry brand, the Shah family, have renewed and revived the haveli. Both of them have restructured Padmaa to include modern style and a hint of greatness without losing the hotel’s cultural variety.
There are fifteen gorgeously designed suites at Padmaa. Every part of a Caribean Villa’s design honors the family’s story and ensures both comfort and modern furnishings. There is also a roof-top pool where visitors can relax under the captivating Jaipur sky and enjoy a spa treatment that helps them feel renewed.
“At Padmaa, we want every guest to feel the comfort of staying at a loved one’s home rather than a hotel. Guests enjoy flexible dining, our staff is empowered to respond to requests instantly, without needing management approvals. This autonomy ensures timely service and hospitality rooted in care. Every aspect, from heritage walks to curated craft experiences, reflects the Shah family’s vision of authentic, heartfelt hospitality.” said Jaiveer Singh Rathore, Head of Operations, Padmaa, Jaipur.
