Inside Kareena Kapoor's Luxury Bandra West Rental Deal

Mumbai’s upscale Bandra West continues to reaffirm its status as Bollywood’s preferred residential address, as actor Kareena Kapoor Khan has rented out her apartment in the area for a monthly rent of Rs. 2.75 lakh.

According to property registration documents accessed by Zapkey, the apartment is located in Land Breeze, a premium residential development in Bandra West.

The lease agreement spans a tenure of three years and includes a security deposit of Rs. 8.25 lakh.

As per the registered documents, the contract also features a 5 percent rent escalation clause after the completion of the first 12 months, reflecting the steady appreciation and sustained demand for luxury real estate in this micro-market.

Celebrity-owned properties in Bandra West continue to command premium rentals, driven by the locality’s lifestyle appeal and limited inventory. While Kareena Kapoor could not be reached for comment, the transaction aligns with a broader trend of high-net-worth individuals leveraging Mumbai’s prime residential assets for stable rental income.

Interestingly, Bandra West has also seen leasing activity from the Kapoor family in recent months. Last month, Kareena’s sister, actor Karisma Kapoor, renewed the lease of her Bandra West apartment for a total rent of Rs. 66.12 lakh. The property had earlier been rented to Kongsberg Maritime India Pvt Ltd in November 2023 for a two-year period, which has now been extended by an additional year under a fresh agreement.

The renewed lease was registered on November 14, 2025, with stamp duty paid at Rs. 17,100 and registration charges amounting to Rs. 1,000, highlighting the formalised nature of high-value residential leasing in Mumbai.

Bandra West remains one of the city’s most coveted neighbourhoods, offering a rare blend of luxury living, cultural vibrancy, and commercial convenience. The area enjoys excellent connectivity through arterial roads, suburban rail, and upcoming metro corridors, while its proximity to Bandra Kurla Complex (BKC), Mahim, and Santacruz adds to its real estate appeal.
