Wynn Al Marjan Island Announces Key Opening Update

Wynn Al Marjan Island is set to open in September 2027, becoming the UAE’s first integrated resort and strengthening Ras Al Khaimah’s position as a global destination for luxury tourism, hospitality, and entertainment.

Confirmation from Wynn Resorts indicates that the opening of Wynn Al Marjan Island, Ras Al Khaimah will take place in September 2027, representing a historic step for the tourism and hospitality industry in the United Arab Emirates. The development project will be the first integrated resort in the country and will revolutionize luxury tourism in the region due to its luxurious facilities.

Constructed in association with Wynn Resorts, Marjan, and RAK Hospitality Holding, this resort is an investment worth approximately $5.1 billion. This project will be situated on the Al Marjan Island, which is located around 50 miles from Dubai International Airport. This project will act as a prime destination for travelers from across the globe. It will play a crucial role in the development of Ras Al Khaimah into a tourism and investment hub.

The integrated resort will comprise 1,530 luxury rooms, suites, and villas, as well as 22 restaurants, lounges, and bars, a huge meetings and events complex, premium boutiques, a five-star spa, a private marina, various swimming pools, a beach club, and a theater for live performances. This resort will contain the UAE's first commercial gaming venue under strict regulations following the issuing of the country’s first commercial gaming license to Wynn Resorts in 2024

Construction has continued smoothly, with all structural works being finished and fit-out work ongoing in both the guestrooms and common areas. The  construction of the Wynn Bridge, which will link the resort to the main highways of the United Arab Emirates, is also underway and on schedule.

The resort is likely to enhance the tourist industry of the UAE since it will attract foreign tourists and increase hotel bookings, and at the same time create many job opportunities. It is also anticipated that the project will generate investments in luxury real estate, retail, transportation, and hospitality services in Ras Al Khaimah.
