The New Abigail Dining Table By Roberto Lazzeroni

Poltrona Frau presents Abigail, a dining table with a marble top and wooden legs, designed by Roberto Lazzeroni. A design defined by formal clarity, where the beauty of the materials speaks for itself.

The “True Over Time” collection, showcased during Milan Design Week 2026, highlights the ability to create design that is authentic and enduring a true expression of the brand’s values. Authenticity is what allows design to endure over time while retaining its timeless modernity.

The Abigail dining table embodies this principle. Roberto Lazzeroni approached the project with a minimalist aesthetic, focusing on subtraction rather than addition, resulting in a table of clean, contemporary lines where apparent simplicity is achieved through precise balance. The focus is on the elegant rectangular marble top with softly rounded corners, showcased in all its beauty. Four solid ash wood legs at the corners, with a gently tapered triangular profile, support the table while giving it a sense of lightness and openness. Its clean lines and organic shapes create a warm, informal atmosphere, making the table easy to pair with a wide variety of chairs.

The table features a 2 cm-thick marble top with rounded edges, supported by a black aluminium underframe for added rigidity and stability. The frame is made of rectangular metal tubing with steel corner plates, totalling 8 cm in thickness. The legs are crafted from solid ash with the characteristic triangular profile, available in Moka and Wengé finishes. Abigail dining table comes in three sizes: 250x120 cm, 220x110 cm, and 180x95 cm.

The marble top is available in Bianco Carrara, Calacatta, Arabescato Venato, and Ombra di Caravaggio, with three finishes: polished, semi-polished, and natural polished. Polished marble is coated with a transparent polyester varnish for enhanced surface resistance and liquid repellency. Semi-polished marble receives an oleo-hydro repellent treatment, offering a natural appearance while remaining resistant to abrasion and heat. Natural polished marble is finished with abrasive wheels to achieve a bright surface that highlights the material’s natural beauty.
