The Leela Announces Luxury Desert Resort Opening in Jaisalmer

The Leela Palaces, Hotels and Resorts has announced its debut in Jaisalmer with The Leela Jaisalmer, a luxury desert resort and spa developed in partnership with The Godwin Group.

Set to open in 2026, the 80-key property marks The Leela’s first desert resort, expanding its footprint across India’s most iconic leisure, cultural, and heritage destinations.

Spread across 30 acres in the Thar Desert, the resort will offer an immersive luxury experience rooted in Rajasthan’s regal desert heritage.

Strategically located near the UNESCO-listed Jaisalmer Fort, the resort combines opulent design with regional aesthetics. It will feature a mix of elegantly appointed rooms and tented villas, capturing the charm of desert living while preserving The Leela’s signature sophistication. The resort’s spa and wellness centre aims to position it as a serene escape for premium domestic and international travelers seeking restorative experiences amidst the dunes.

Dining options will include multiple signature venues showcasing regional and global cuisines.
