Bollywood actor Sonu Sood has sold his luxury apartment in Mumbai’s Mahalaxmi locality for Rs.8.10 crore, earning a profit of nearly Rs.3 crore from the high-end real estate transaction, according to property registration documents reviewed by Square Yards.
The flat, situated at Lokhandwala Minerva, is spread over a carpet area of 1,247 sq. ft. and a built-up area of about 1,497 sq. ft. The transaction also comprised two car parks.
According to records with the Inspector General of Registration (IGR), the transaction elicited a stamp duty of Rs.48.60 lakh and registration charges of Rs.30,000.
Key highlights:
Square Yards' report shows that Sood had bought the building in 2012 for Rs.5.16 crore, so the actor has earned a huge profit of almost Rs.3 crore in more than ten years.
A real estate market analyst familiar with the deal commented, “Mahalaxmi remains one of South Mumbai’s most prestigious addresses, with luxury towers and prime connectivity driving demand. Deals like this highlight the resilience of Mumbai’s high-end property market despite broader economic challenges.”
