SM JDB Estate has launched Rhino & River Wildlife Retreat & Spa, a unique luxury boutique retreat nestled between the Brahmaputra River and Pobitora Wildlife Sanctuary, renowned for its dense population of one-horned rhinoceroses.

Located just a short drive from Guwahati, Assam, the property offers guests a blend of nature, heritage, and wellness in a setting of understated luxury.

Managed by BluSalzz Hospitality, the retreat features 16 eco-conscious rooms made from local bamboo and wood, each with river or forest views.

Interiors celebrate Northeast India’s craft heritage, with handwoven textiles, tribal artwork, and cane accents. The heart of the retreat is Nirban Spa, inspired by the healing traditions of the Seven Sister States, offering plant-based therapies infused with chants and intuitive touch. Architected in collaboration with award-winning designer Aku Zeliang, the property reflects traditional Assamese bamboo craftsmanship, blending sustainability with storytelling.
