The initiative comes at a time when the Indian real estate sector is witnessing strong growth, supported by rising housing demand, improved consumer confidence and increased institutional participation. Alternative investment platforms and private credit funds are becoming important sources of capital as developers seek flexible financing options beyond traditional lending channels.
Prime Securities, a SEBI-registered merchant banking firm, has created the fund through Prime Litmus Investment Management to leverage opportunities in the real estate market. The fund’s strategy focuses on identifying viable projects with strong fundamentals and providing structured financial solutions to developers.
The fund aims to invest in projects that have clear development potential and are positioned in growth-oriented markets. By supporting established developers and carefully selected projects, the platform seeks to balance investor returns with capital protection. The structured credit approach allows investors to participate in the real estate sector while reducing exposure to direct property ownership risks.
India’s real estate investment landscape has been attracting increased attention from institutional investors, family offices and high-net-worth individuals. Real estate-focused AIFs have emerged as a preferred route for investors looking for opportunities in residential and commercial developments.
The launch of the Prime Litmus Real Estate Opportunities Fund highlights the growing role of alternative capital in strengthening India’s property ecosystem. With developers requiring timely funding for project execution and investors seeking diversified opportunities, such platforms are expected to play a larger role in the sector’s future growth.
