Omaxe Ties Up with Taj Group for Dwarka Mega Project

Real estate major Omaxe has entered into a strategic partnership with The Indian Hotels Company Limited (IHCL), the owner and operator of the Taj brand, to launch a Gateway-branded luxury hotel at its landmark project, The Omaxe State in Dwarka, Delhi.

This is a milestone moment for India's urban hospitality and sports market.

The flagship of the partnership is a 158-room luxury hotel, featuring 40 stadium-view suites built into an ICC and FIFA-compliant international stadium—a first in India. Another 108 rooms will be situated in a connected premium club building, servicing business and leisure travelers

Key highlights:

  • A 158-key Gateway-branded luxury hotel by IHCL will feature 40 exclusive stadium-view suites integrated into an ICC & FIFA-compliant stadium at The Omaxe State in Dwarka
  • Spread over 50.4 acres, The Omaxe State will integrate sports, hospitality, retail, food, and entertainment, with IHCL also operating a 250,000 sq. ft. elite members-only club
  • Located near Bharat Vandana Park and Yashobhoomi Convention Centre, the project is expected to generate over Rs.4,200 crore in revenue and create large-scale employment by 2027

"The Omaxe State is not a project; it is Delhi's most aspirational destination. By collaborating with IHCL, we are creating new benchmarks for hospitality, sports, and urban entertainment." said Mohit Goel, Managing Director, Omaxe.

Covering 50.4 acres, The Omaxe State is being built under a PPP model with the Delhi Development Authority (DDA) and combines five lifestyle zones—Sports, Hospitality, Food, Social, and Shopping.

IHCL will also operate a 250,000 sq. ft. high-end members' club, one of the biggest in India, with restaurants, spas, business lounges, Olympic-sized pools, and indoor sports facilities. Taking cues from spaces such as The Bay Club (Mumbai) and Accor Arena (Paris), the club is set to reimagine upscale urban recreation.

Scheduled for completion by 2027, the project is likely to yield more than Rs.4,200 crore revenue and provide large-scale employment. Geographically, close to Bharat Vandana Park and Yashobhoomi Convention Centre, it seeks to emerge as NCR's first choice for international events and lifestyle pursuits.
