NorthWind Estates Buys Yamuna Land for 189 Crore

Synopsis:  NorthWind Estates acquires a 5-acre land parcel in the Yamuna Expressway region for ₹189 crore through a YEIDA auction, reflecting growing investor confidence in the rapidly developing infrastructure and residential corridor.

Real estate developer NorthWind Estates has acquired a 5-acre land parcel in the Yamuna Expressway region for ₹189 crore through an auction conducted by the Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA). The acquisition marks another significant investment in one of North India’s fastest-growing real estate and infrastructure corridors.

The company emerged as the highest bidder in the recent YEIDA auction and secured the land parcel in Sector 22D, a strategically important area witnessing increasing residential and commercial activity. The Yamuna Expressway region has attracted strong developer interest in recent years due to large-scale infrastructure developments and the upcoming Noida International Airport at Jewar.

Manoj Kumar Garg, Chairman of NorthWind Estates, stated that the Yamuna Expressway corridor is entering a new phase of urban and economic transformation. According to the company, infrastructure-led growth in the region is expected to create long-term ecosystems supporting residential, industrial, logistics, and commercial expansion rather than short-term speculative development.

The Yamuna Expressway region has emerged as a major real estate hotspot due to several ongoing government-backed infrastructure initiatives. The area benefits from connectivity projects, industrial corridors, logistics hubs, and the development of the Noida International Airport, which is expected to significantly boost economic activity and housing demand. Industry observers believe these projects are transforming the corridor into a major investment destination in northern India.

Recent YEIDA auctions have also reflected increasing demand for group housing and mixed-use developments in the region. Reports indicate that multiple developers have aggressively bid for residential plots as authorities accelerate planned urban expansion around the airport corridor. The latest allotments are expected to support the construction of thousands of new residential units in the coming years.
