Sinclairs Hotels Limited has announced the opening of Sinclairs Palace Retreat in Udaipur, the group's second hotel in the city's fabled "City of Lakes." Spread across a large five-acre property located within the foothills of the Aravalli range, the resort fuses palace-style architecture with contemporary luxury, boasting 90 stylishly designed rooms and suites, along with five independent villas that evoke the royal atmosphere of Mewar.
The guests are surrounded by the rich cultural heritage of the region as soon as they step in. The interiors of the retreat are decorated with hand-hewn stone jaalis, elaborate archways, traditional frescoes, and locally available artefacts — all that reminds one of the legend and the romance of Rajasthan's royal past.
Key Highlights:
"Udaipur is equated with romance, heritage, and royalty, and Sinclairs Palace Retreat embodies the very essence of that ethos. We have designed a property that respects the city's royal history while providing discerning guests with all the contemporary comforts they are accustomed to." said Swajib Chatterjee, Chief Operating Officer at Sinclairs Hotels Limited.
Sinclairs Palace Retreat is built for multi-purpose luxury hospitality. Signature restaurant The Gharana offers genuine Rajasthani vegetarian food as well as international favorites, while a spacious 7,000 sq ft banquet hall and landscaped outdoor spaces accommodate weddings, large parties, and corporate meetings.
Constructed with sustainable design and locally sourced craftsmanship as drivers, the resort is poised to be a culturally, architecturally, and ecologically distinctive destination. Its closeness to places of cultural and religious importance, such as the Shrinathji Temple at Nathdwara and ancient Haldighati Museum, lends religious and heritage importance to its appeal.
