IHG Hotels & Resorts made a deal with Hanu Overseas to bring its luxury brand, Vignette Collection, to India. The first hotel is set to open in Panchkula in early 2026. This deal is a big step in IHG’s plan to grow in the luxury market in India.
Vignette Collection is a group of unique hotels that offer special stays that show off the local culture. The brand lets hotels keep their own style while still getting the advantages of IHG’s global network and loyalty program.

Panchkula, near Chandigarh, is a growing business and lifestyle area with IT parks, factories, drug companies, and good schools. The new hotel will have 145 rooms, restaurants, a spa, pool, gym, shops, and lots of space for meetings and parties.

Sudeep Jain, Managing Director, South West Asia, IHG Hotels & Resorts, said that bringing Vignette Collection to India shows that people want luxury travel that is personal and connected to the local area. Aman Gupta of Hanu Overseas said they want to set a new standard for hotels in the area with good design and service.
This deal helps IHG grow in the Chandigarh area, along with other new hotels like Crowne Plaza and Holiday Inn & Suites.
