
The Indian Hotels Company Limited (IHCL) has announced the signing of a new Gateway hotel in Hennur, Bengaluru, reinforcing its strategic expansion in one of India’s fastest-growing urban markets.
The upcoming hotel will be developed as a greenfield hospitality project, further strengthening IHCL’s presence in Bengaluru, particularly in the rapidly evolving North Bengaluru corridor.
Bengaluru’s urban growth continues to accelerate as suburbs and satellite regions emerge as key development hubs.
North Bengaluru has transformed into a high-growth zone driven by infrastructure upgrades and the expansion of technology, aerospace, and education sectors.

Addressing the rising demand for quality hospitality offerings, Gateway Hennur, Bengaluru is positioned to deliver a contemporary hotel experience aligned with the city’s expansion, according to Suma Venkatesh, Executive Vice President – Real Estate & Development, IHCL. She also highlighted IHCL’s continued collaboration with Sanjay Suresh on this project.

The upcoming Gateway hotel in Hennur will feature 350 rooms, catering to both business and leisure travellers.
Key amenities include an all-day dining restaurant, bar, speciality restaurant, and a lounge. The property will also offer over 16,000 sq ft of banqueting space, complemented by meeting rooms, making it suitable for corporate events and social functions.

Wellness facilities will include a gym, health club, swimming pool, and treatment rooms, enhancing the guest experience.
With this signing, IHCL’s Bengaluru hotel portfolio will expand to 20 hotels, including 11 properties under development, underscoring its long-term commitment to the Bengaluru hospitality market.
