Indian Hotels Company (IHCL) has announced the opening of Vivanta Aluva, Kochi, further strengthening its expansion across Kerala’s high-density commercial and urban cluster markets.
The new 92-room hotel marks IHCL’s entry into the Aluva micro-market, a key sub-region within the Kochi Metropolitan area known for its manufacturing clusters, trade-driven economy, multimodal mobility corridors, and rising cultural tourism activity.
According to IHCL, Aluva’s strong corporate base, connectivity advantages, and strategic positioning along the Periyar River economic belt played a major role in signing the new property.
Key Highlights
Vivanta Aluva features 92 rooms and suites, designed with distinctive visual storytelling inspired by Kochi’s iconic Chinese fishing nets, enabling the hotel to stand out with experiential commercial differentiation.
The property offers a comprehensive set of operational assets, including a rooftop pool, spa, gym, fitness centre, banquet halls, and modern meeting spaces that support both business travel and events-led revenue streams. Its three F&B concepts—Mynt (all-day dining), The Ace (rooftop bar-beque), and Swirl (patisserie)—add to the hotel’s food and beverage positioning for local and transit-driven demand.
Deepika Rao, EVP – New Businesses & Hotel Openings, IHCL, said “The launch extends IHCL’s brand portfolio into emerging metropolitan catchments where demand is increasingly B2B-led.”
