Hilton has announced plans to launch a new luxury property "Gajoen Tokyo LXR Hotels & Resorts" in 2027 which will expand its high-end hotel collection throughout Japan. The hotel will be developed at the site of the former Hotel Gajoen Tokyo which ceased operations in September 2025 following the expiration of its lease agreement.
The upcoming property will feature 60 upscale guest rooms together with high-end amenities which include a fitness centre spa and approximately 5 700 square metres of meeting and event space.

The hotel will provide five dining and drinking establishments which include an all-day dining restaurant and multiple specialty dining restaurants to serve both international visitors and local patrons. Before its official opening Hilton plans to renovate the present facilities and guest rooms which will allow them to operate partial services including accommodations and dining from mid-2026 onward.
This project will be part of Hilton’s LXR Hotels & Resorts collection and will become the brand’s second property in Japan, following the opening of ROKU KYOTO in September 2021. The brand will establish its first presence in Tokyo through this project. Hilton plans to expand its LXR hotel operations throughout Japan by opening new locations in Hiroshima, Hakone Gora, and Niseko Hokkaido.
The property benefits from a prime location, just a three-minute walk from Meguro Station, which is served by multiple major rail lines, ensuring strong connectivity within Tokyo. The redevelopment project resulted from Brookfield Asset Management's acquisition of a section of the former hotel, which they purchased earlier in 2025.
