Eagles Nest Opens Boutique Wellness Retreat in Dharamshala

Eagles Nest, a boutique hospitality and wellness retreat, has opened in Dharamshala, Himachal Pradesh, offering an immersive, nature-led experience in the Himalayan foothills.

Spread across 2 square kilometres of cedar, oak, and rhododendron forest, the property is located at an elevation of 2,250 metres (7,381 ft) and commands panoramic views of the Kangra Valley, the Dhauladhar mountain range, and the Dalai Lama Temple.

Positioned as a base for outdoor, wellness, and mindful travel, Eagles Nest supports activities such as trekking, forest walks, horse riding, bird watching, and visits to nearby ashrams, yoga centres, and meditation facilities.

The 17-room boutique property features contemporary architecture with natural materials, warm wooden interiors, and minimalistic design. Public areas include a double-height atrium lobby with skylight, multiple interaction zones, indoor recreational spaces, reading rooms, and games areas.

Guest rooms span approximately 320 sq. ft., while suites exceed 400 sq. ft., each offering balconies or sit-outs with valley or forest views. In-room amenities include heating systems, electric blankets, work desks, tea and coffee facilities, and electronic safes.

Dining options include a private dining hall and a fireplace lounge, serving regional Himachali cuisine alongside Indian and international selections, with a focus on locally sourced produce. Outdoor features include landscaped lawns, walking trails, a greenhouse for organic cultivation, and designated stargazing and bonfire zones.

Wellness infrastructure comprises a yoga hall for 18 participants, spa treatment rooms, sauna facilities, meditation areas, and open-air yoga decks. Sustainability initiatives include an on-site spring water source, rainwater harvesting systems, and eco-conscious daily operations.
