Dubai-based home appliance and consumer electronics brand Gratus has officially entered the South Indian market with its debut launch in Belagavi, Karnataka. The expansion marks a major milestone for the Sharjah-headquartered company as it accelerates its India growth strategy through regional partnerships and an expanding distribution network. The launch event was attended by delegations from the United Arab Emirates and Oman, along with distributors, retailers, and industry stakeholders from across the region, highlighting the growing business collaboration between the Gulf region and India.
The occasion also commemorated 15 years of Gratus, a brand that has established a strong presence across the Middle East through its portfolio of consumer electronics and household appliances. Founded by Raju Shetty, the company has expanded its operations internationally with more than 300 products available across over 1,000 retail points globally. In India, the brand operates through VMNR Global Tech Pvt. Ltd., which is leading its regional distribution and market expansion initiatives.

Belagavi was strategically selected as the company’s South India launch destination due to its growing commercial significance and connectivity across Karnataka, Goa, and Maharashtra. The launch reflects Gratus’ long-term ambition to establish a strong presence in India’s fast-growing home appliance sector, particularly in tier-2 and emerging urban markets. The company has partnered with Disha Corporation and regional distributors to strengthen its market penetration and after-sales support infrastructure.
At the event, Gratus showcased a wide range of products including air conditioners, QLED televisions, refrigerators, washing machines, dishwashers, air coolers, and infrared cooking systems. One of the brand’s key highlights is its air conditioner lineup featuring 7-in-1 Convertible Technology, Gold Fin protection, and 4-Way Swing functionality. The systems are designed to operate efficiently in temperatures of up to 52 degrees Celsius, leveraging the company’s experience in the extreme climate conditions of the UAE.
The company also introduced its advanced infrared cooker technology aimed at promoting energy-efficient and flame-free cooking solutions for modern households. According to the company, the product portfolio has been tailored to meet the evolving lifestyle preferences of Indian consumers seeking technologically advanced yet accessible appliances.
Speaking during the launch, Vivek Mishra stated that the India expansion represents a commitment to bringing globally inspired home appliance solutions and modern living experiences to Indian households. Representatives from the UAE delegation also emphasized the strengthening trade and business relationship between India and the Gulf region through such collaborations.
