Cygnett Hotels & Resorts has opened its new hotel, Cygnett Inn Dibrugarh, in Assam, another reinforcement of its foothold in Northeast India. Situated strategically at a mere 15 minute drive from the nearest railway station and 25 minutes from the airport, the hotel is set to provide affordable luxury with contemporary design, friendly hospitality, and first-rate amenities at affordable prices. With this opening, the group currently has five hotels in the Northeast and is headed toward a 2,000-key presence in the region by 2029.
Cygnett Inn Dibrugarh has 50 well-equipped rooms divided into three categories, each with the aim of providing comfort and convenience to both business and leisure guests.
Key Highlights:
Accommodations are complemented by multiple dining options at the C Pavilion, which offers both local and international cuisines and can seat a total of 70 people. For less formal nights, the Metro Bar offers a chic atmosphere with seating capacity for 38 individuals and a carefully selected list of drinks.
To accommodate the MICE and events market, the hotel features 'Discussion', a 50-person meeting room, and 'Summit', a 250-person banquet hall suitable for weddings, corporate functions, product launches, and more. "Cygnett Inn Dibrugarh is the perfect place, whether for corporate events or social gatherings such as weddings. Expansion in the Northeast is part of our long-term plan to build Cygnett Hotels & Resorts into a 100-plus hotel group in the next few years," stated Sarbendra Sarkar, Founder & Managing Director, Cygnett Hotels & Resorts.

The company credits its concentrated Northeast growth strategy to the area's increasing tourism attraction, enhanced infrastructure, and growing need for quality hotels. "The Indian government has made things favorable for businesses to invest in Northeast India, and we are already witnessing a robust corporate travel demand apart from a healthy growth from leisure and wedding segments," Sarkar said.
