Chalet Hotels Launches Athiva, a New Lifestyle Brand

Chalet Hotels has launched Athiva Hotels & Resorts, a new premium lifestyle hospitality brand debuting with over 900 keys across six hotels in India.

Derived from the Sanskrit word for “abundance,” Athiva embodies joy, sustainability, and wellness—offering guests the assurance of the expected and the joy of the unexpected. The brand’s first property, Athiva Resort & Spa, Khandala, is a transformation of the iconic The Dukes Retreat. Featuring 147 rooms and 11 suites, the resort blends refined luxury with authentic local experiences and eco-conscious practices.

Five additional properties are set to transition to Athiva, including a business hotel in Navi Mumbai, The Resort at Aksa Beach, and three greenfield projects in Goa and Thiruvananthapuram.

With plans to double capacity within three years, Athiva represents a strategic step in Chalet Hotels’ lifestyle hospitality expansion. The brand caters to millennial and Gen Z travelers, introducing innovative experiences like Breakfast@Anytime, Binge Box, Dollops of Joy, and Local Immersions, reimagining flexibility, food, and cultural engagement.

Aligned with CHL’s Parivartan sustainability initiative, each Athiva property integrates energy-efficient design, local sourcing, and community partnerships, driving a regenerative and inclusive hospitality model.
