Ascott Expands in Europe with 7 New Hotel Signings

The Ascott, the lodging business unit of CapitaLand Investment (CLI), has announced seven new property signings across Vienna and Seville, adding nearly 1,100 units through franchise and management agreements.

This marks a major milestone in Ascott’s European expansion, bringing its regional portfolio to 64 properties with almost 8,500 units in 26 cities across 10 countries. Globally, Ascott now manages over 1,000 properties and 175,000 units. The announcement coincided with the official opening of lyf Gambetta Paris, Ascott’s first lyf-branded property in France, reflecting the growing appeal of its social living concept.

Five of the new signings in Vienna — developed in partnership with VIE Trust Real Estate Group — add 750 units and include a second lyf property opening by 2026.

In Seville, Ascott will partner with Forty Management SA for two new properties — a 250-unit lyf and a 120-unit Somerset — at Lagoon City Seville, the brand’s first beachside resort project in Europe, opening in late 2028.
