Accor to Open Sofitel Rishikesh Luxury Resort by 2030

Accor has announced the signing of Sofitel Rishikesh Narendra Nagar, a new luxury resort planned in the Himalayan foothills along the River Ganges.

Scheduled to open in 2030, the property will further expand Accor’s premium and luxury leisure portfolio in India, reinforcing the group’s long-term commitment to high-end destination hospitality in the country.

The resort will be developed as a new-build project across eight acres in Narendra Nagar, near Rishikesh, a destination globally associated with spirituality, wellness, and nature-based travel.

Designed to blend contemporary luxury with its natural surroundings, the resort will feature 160 rooms and suites, offering guests immersive views and a tranquil retreat close to one of India’s most revered rivers.

Planned amenities include five dining venues offering diverse culinary experiences, alongside extensive wellness facilities aligned with the destination’s holistic ethos. These include two swimming pools, a Sofitel Spa with six treatment rooms, a fitness centre, and dedicated yoga and meditation spaces.

The resort is also positioned as a premium events destination, with more than 2,000 square metres of banqueting and event facilities, suitable for weddings, corporate retreats, and social gatherings.
