Bharti Real Estate Expands Delhi Aerocity to 20M Sq. Ft. Hub

Bharti Real Estate is expanding its Delhi Aerocity Worldmark development to 20 million sq ft, strengthening its mixed-use commercial portfolio with premium offices, retail, hospitality, and lifestyle infrastructure.

Bharti Real Estate is speeding up the process of expanding its Worldmark property located in Delhi Aerocity, where the company has decided to construct a 20 million square feet commercial complex. This development demonstrates the company’s vision of creating business districts that include high-end office spaces along with retail areas and hospitality facilities.

The development is taking place through various stages in order to ensure an efficient use of capital resources and effective delivery of projects. The earlier stages of the development of Worldmark 1, 2, and 3 have been completed and they are fully occupied, showing high interest in premium commercial spaces in Delhi Aerocity. The firm is currently working towards developing Worldmark 2.0, which will be a seven million square foot project.

Of the total development, almost four million square feet will have Grade-A office space, which is supposed to be ready for occupancy within the next six months. The rest of three million square feet will consist of retail, leisure, and entertainment space. Upon completion of the project, the total area of retail space at Aerocity belonging to Bharti Real Estate will amount to four million square feet.

There are also plans to provide top-of-the-line lifestyle amenities that would include an international cuisine offering like Time Out Market and a luxury shopping center known as The Haute District, to be completed by 2028. In order to accommodate the increasing number of tourists and employees, the company has started building an underground parking garage that would accommodate over 8,000 cars.

This growth is in line with the increasing inclination toward having sustainable and well-connected Grade-A office parks that provide an all-encompassing work environment among multinational firms. In spite of the development of hybrid working models, the need for quality commercial developments in premium locations is on the increase, especially amongst global companies.
