Xiaomi has expanded its robot vacuum lineup globally with the Robot Vacuum 6 and Robot Vacuum 6 Pro. Both models feature active roller mopping, automated mop washing and drying, while the Pro adds AI vision for stain recognition.
Xiaomi has added to its smart home lineup with the launch of the Xiaomi Robot Vacuum 6 and Xiaomi Robot Vacuum 6 Pro in the world, featuring an active roller mopping system that enhances floor cleaning. The two models have been showcased on Xiaomi's worldwide website, but there is no word yet on pricing or availability in particular regions.
The new models feature a continuously moving roller that gathers dirty water while cleaning, unlike traditional robot vacuums that have static or rotating mop pads. According to Xiaomi, the system prevents the spread of dirt on the floor and is designed to ensure more uniform cleaning, even around walls and room edges.

The roller mop can extend outwards to provide better edge coverage and automatically lift when the robot encounters short-pile carpets. Side brushes are used to move dry debris towards the main intake, allowing the devices to combine vacuuming and mopping in a single cleaning cycle.
Both models are equipped with a multifunctional base station which can automatically refill fresh water, wash the roller with hot water and dry it with hot air. The functions are designed to minimize the need for manual maintenance between cleanings.
The Robot Vacuum 6 Pro has several advanced features compared to the standard model. It features a retractable LiDAR navigation system, which enables the robot to lower itself when cleaning under furniture. The Pro also uses a triple-camera AI vision system to identify and distinguish different types of stains.
The AI-based system is intended to enable the robot to identify the floor conditions and adapt its cleaning strategy to them. AI recognition features have been mentioned in the past by Xiaomi in its Robot Vacuum 6 series, such as the recognition of multiple types of stains and household obstacles.
The global rollout comes after the Pro model was launched in China, where it added high suction power, mopping with rollers, obstacle recognition and a retractable LiDAR sensor.
