Homey Aims for 10,000 Co-Living Beds by 2027, Emphasizing Inclusivity

Homey, a rising star in India’s co-living sector, has announced an ambitious plan to scale its operations to 10,000 beds by 2027, capitalizing on the growing demand for affordable and inclusive shared living spaces. The startup, which currently operates over 1,000 beds, intends to add 5,000 beds this financial year and another 5,000 in FY27, according to a recent statement.

It is starting off with a 2,000-new-bed plan in the next six months in the East Delhi, Laxmi Nagar, which has a 120-bed project. The spaces developed by the company are co-living where all people are invited: the students, young professionals, and migrant workers, which provide a sense of community, modern facilities, and flexible leasing. This step is taken as the real estate sector in India is growing at full swing, where 2024 is estimated to hit a high in terms of home sales, as the economy is also growing well and so are the infrastructure development projects.
