Renowned Bollywood actor R. Madhavan and his wife, Sarita, have leased their upscale apartment in Mumbai’s Bandra Kurla Complex (BKC) for a staggering ₹6.5 lakh per month, according to property registration documents accessed by Square Yards. The luxurious 4,182 sq ft residence, located in the prestigious Signia Pearl tower, was rented to BP Exploration (Alpha) Limited, a British multinational oil and gas company, for a two-year term, generating a total rental income of ₹1.60 crore.
The Madhavans snagged this place in July 2024 for ₹17.5 crore. The rental deal, signed this month, comes with a 5% rent bump in year two, pushing it to about ₹6.83 lakh a month. The tenant also dropped a ₹39 lakh security deposit, and the paperwork was finalized with just ₹47,000 in stamp duty and ₹1,000 for registration. This sweet deal gives them a tidy 4.5% return in the first year, inching up to 4.7% in the second, showing BKC’s real estate is a goldmine.
BKC is Mumbai’s hotspot for business, hosting giants like Jio, Apple, Netflix, and the National Stock Exchange. With its mix of luxe homes, top-notch roads, and prime location, it’s no wonder the rich and famous are flocking here. The Signia Pearl tower, packed with spacious 4 and 5 BHK apartments and killer amenities, is the cream of the crop in this ritzy area.

Madhavan, loved for movies like 3 Idiots and Rocketry: The Nambi Effect, is clearly making smart moves off-screen too, building a solid property portfolio. This lease proves BKC’s status as a top pick for high-end living. We couldn’t get a word from Madhavan, and BP Exploration didn’t reply to our calls.0.0
