Bengaluru’s culinary scene will reach new levels this summer, thanks to the Taste of Uttarakhand festival at F5, an all-day dining restaurant at Hilton Garden Inn Bengaluru Embassy Manyata Business Park. Visitors are encouraged to taste Pahadi dishes from Uttarakhand during this week-long festival.

While Taste of Uttarakhand is a food festival, it also celebrates the culture of the hills in the heart of the city. Topping the roster for this one-of-a-kind food festival are Chef Kailash Tewari, Chef Sanjay Bhat and Chef Kundan Rawat, each of whom grew up in the Himalayan foothills. Chefs from around the world bring their heritage and memories with the recipes they have learned through childhood.

The menu at the festival highlights all the special dishes from Uttarakhand. Traditional dishes at the place are Kharode ka Soup which is just what Bengaluruites need on rainy nights and Gahat ki Dal which is a distinctive and healthy lentil soup from the region. There is also Jungali Shikar which renders wild-game flavors using local ingredients and the unusual Bhangjeera Raita that’s both tangy and herby. Desserts at Hana Kimo are marked by the favorite treats Pua Lapsi and Baal Mithai.
