Priyanka Chopra Family Makes Headlines: Leasing out Pune Property for Rs. 1.49 Crore

Priyanka Chopra's mother, Madhu Chopra, and her brother, Siddharth Chopra, recently rented a property in Pune's Koregaon Park for Rs. 2.25 lakh per month, according to property registration documents Square Yards examined.

One of Pune's most affluent and desirable neighborhoods is Koregaon Park, which is well-known for its booming café culture, upscale residential communities, and verdant surroundings. There is a mix of contemporary apartments, heritage bungalows, and business establishments in the area.

It is a well-known area for both residential and commercial use due to its close proximity to important business centers like Kalyani Nagar and the Pune Airport.

The paperwork state that the rental property owned by Madhu and Siddharth Chopra is 4,800 square feet (~445.9 square meters). The purchase came with a Rs. 1,000 registration fee and a Rs. 39,000 stamp duty payment. A security deposit of Rs. 13.5 lakh and a 36-month lease lock-in period are specified in the registration papers.

The monthly rent starts at Rs. 2.25 lakh and rises to Rs. 2.73 lakh in the fifth year, with a 5% annual rent escalation specified in the leasing agreement. It is anticipated that the entire rental income throughout the five-year lease term will reach Rs. 1.49 crore.

Between December 2023 and December 2024, 136 home selling transactions totaling Rs. 125 crore in gross transaction value were filed with IGR in Koregaon Park, per Square Yards' data intelligence. The average cost of real estate in the area as of December 2024 was Rs. 17,250 per square foot.
